PERA is a “young and hungry” start-up (yet already powerful due to our commitment and our own “lived experience”). In these early years of development, your support empowers us to build out our team of case managers, who work one-on-one with families and/or incarcerated individuals to navigate their most pressing challenges, from lack of needed medical care, to lengthy or even indeterminate SHU confinement, to the opaque workings of security classification.

Also high on our list for expansion is our:

• Library of FOIA documents that pull back the curtain on the inner workings of the BOP.
• Production of unique, tailored training materials for judges, lawyers and others with clients in the system.
• Outreach to family members who are struggling alone against the BOP “Goliath.”

PERA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are fully tax-deductible.
